The terms on which these pages are read

This page sets out what the desk does, what it cannot do, and how it earns. It is written for a reader deciding whether to rely on the figures published on this site.

Information, not advice

Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do. A gram price in shillings is a measurement, not a suggestion to buy or sell. The desk does not know a reader's circumstances, and it does not try to guess them.

A reader who acts on a figure does so alone. The site cannot promise that any price will rise or fall, and it will not print a forecast. What the desk publishes is a record of what a source said at a named hour. That is all it can offer, and all it claims to offer.

The figures and their limits

The subject of this site is one measurement, taken from named public sources and republished with the date and the hour it was read. There is no Kenyan gold fixing, so every figure below is the world gold price multiplied by a shilling rate. Official columns use the Central Bank of Kenya rate; open-market columns use the Binance P2P dollar. Karats are the 24 karat gram times the karat over twenty-four.

Each table carries the name of its source and a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. The desk does not add a margin, and it does not smooth a spike. If a source publishes a figure, the desk records it. If the source later corrects itself, the desk records that too, with the date the correction was made.

What the desk does and does not do

The desk is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. It does not accept orders, and it does not arrange trades. No one on this site can take a payment for gold, and no one should ask. The only address that reaches the desk is editor@goldgramke.pages.dev, and it exists for corrections and for questions about the figures.

Responsibility for the figures sits with the publication's editorial desk: Kenya Gold Gram research desk. The desk reads the named sources at set times, checks the arithmetic, and publishes what it found. If a figure is wrong, the desk corrects it and dates the correction. No person is named as the author of a measurement, because the measurement belongs to the desk and not to any individual.

How the desk earns

The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is the whole of the desk's income from this site, and it is stated here plainly.

The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site. The desk does not see what a reader does on the broker's site, and it does not receive any personal data from the broker. The affiliate relationship does not change the figures, which are read from the same sources whether the link is used or not.
